1. In 1996 Ivan Mishukov who was only four years old, was sadly somehow abandoned by his parents. He survived by begging for food in the streets of Moscow. During this time he found that he was most welcome and comfortable living with stray dogs he met on the streets and with whom he shared his food. He told social workers that he was better off with the dogs than with his parents because they loved and protected him. His bond with these dogs was so strong that it took more than a month for the police to totally separate him and his canine companions. 2. In 1920 two girls living in India named Amala and Kamala were discovered living with a she-wolf - half wolf and half human. A Reverend spotted a mother wolf and clubs, two of which had long and matted hair and looked human. The girls that he discovered were nocturnal, walked on all fours and had large calluses on their knees and palms. They were partial to raw meat, drank by lapping up liquids with their tongues, and ate in crouched position. They were eventually taken to an orphanage in Mindapore, India. 3. A two year old by the name of Prateep Chumnoon was found living in the Thai province of Nakhon Si Thammarat with his grandmother. The grandmother was impoverished and also owned a dog. When the woman went off to work, she would leave Prateep with the dog. She left him with the dog so often that the boy started making dog sounds rather than human words. When this was discovered, he was sent to a welfare center. 4. A Chilean boy who was abandoned as a baby survived in a cave for eleven years with the aid of a family of fifteen stray dogs who lived near the port of Talcahuano on Chile's Pacific coast and found and adopted him shortly after his birth. They taught him to scavenge for food in the same way they did, and one of dogs even allowed him to nurse from her. As you can see, sometimes living with dogs can be better off than living with humans.
