Although you may be the healthiest one in your household, as of right now, you still need to have regular check ups to keep it that way. You don’t do it intentionally, but you miss check ups or other doctor appointments or maybe you don’t schedule them at all because you are so healthy and you feel great all the time. Even though you feel this way you still need to have regular check ups performed and here is why. Missing out on one appointment will quickly turn into missing another and then you will stop going all together. If you stop going to your appointments you are neglecting to take care of your body properly, even being as healthy as are you still need to go. When you attend all your appointments your doctor will tell you that you are in good shape and he has no complaints thus far, if something changes and you suddenly get sick your doctor will be able to tell you what it is and if you are going to get over it soon, even give you a prescription to help you heal. Young children and teens should go in regularly also to have blood tests done to check for high blood pressure and heart disease and diabetes. The elderly should visit the doctor for check ups to have blood tests done to check for heart disease and some types of cancer. Women should have a mammogram done regularly, even though you do it yourself at home, you should still have a doctor check every time you go in to the office. Someone who diagnoses breast cancer or harmless lumps on the breast is most qualified to tell you what it is and the best way to seek treatment for it. Remember to you have your check ups done on a regular basis. Missing can only make matters worse so go and be happy and healthy.
